The Annual National Spelling Bee Nigeria is in its fourth edition and this year children within the ages of ages of 8 and 13 are participating in the competition. The 2017 edition began with the training the trainers sessions at 3 venues: Osogbo, Abuja and Lagos from December 13 – 15, 2016 where Scripps Certified Linguistic professionals will took teachers from participating schools through an intensive 3-day training.
The annual champions of the Spelling Bee will win an all-expense paid trip to the Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington DC, USA as a guest, plus a scholarship Fund, whilst the 2nd and 3rd place winners get scholarship funds.
The Regional Finals for Lagos State will hold tomorrow March 14th, 2017 at Supreme Education Foundation 23, Emmanel Keshi Street, Magodo Phase 2, Lagos while the Regional Finals for Osun state will hold March 21, 2017 Venue: Atlantis Hall Rinsayo Estate, Ring Road, Osogbo, Osun Stateby 10 am.
All state qualifiers/representatives will proceed to the 4‐day national camp in Lagos. (April 24 ‐ 27, 2017) in preparation for the National Finals.
