#WordOfTheDay – Learn what muckrake means

We don’t know about you but we’ve been loving the past few weeks on our #WordOfTheDay series.

Today’s word is Muckrake. Ever heard of this one?

Muckrake is a verb and it means to search out and publicly expose real or apparent misconduct of a prominent individual or business.

We think this is enough explanation.

Let’s look at a few examples;

The editor of the website is a muckraker who uses social media to attack city officials he dislikes.

Ade is an aggressive reporter, who is never afraid to ask difficult questions,  or muckrake when things appear suspicious.
