Don’t miss this year’s Lagos Book & Arts Festival

If you have never been to the Lagos Book & Art Festival ((LABAF)), the 2016 edition which will hold in November will be your opportunity to attend.

LABAF, which has been dubbed “Africa’s biggest Culture Picnic”, is an art festival that has grown to become one of the high points of Nigeria’s cultural calendar since inception.

The festival which is organized by the Committee for Relevant Art (CORA) is an event that attracts writers, journalists and artists from all over the world. This year’s edition will be the 18th in the history of the festival so you should be sure that the organizers know what they are doing.

The theme for this year’s edition is ‘The terror of knowledge’ and we think it is so apt. The power of knowledge cannot be overemphasized in this age and if we can only invest in it, we will be amazed at the results we will get.

Although the main festival will begin November 10, 2016 and end November 13, 2016, pre-festival activities will start November 7th, 2016. Some of the activities scheduled for the event include: book trek, publishers forum, authors convention, symposium, poetry slam, film screening and a whole lot more.

Do you see why you shouldn’t miss it now?

The venue is Freedom Park, Broad street, Lagos Island and the time is 9 am to 12 midnight daily.

We hope you can make it.
